Aloha - Hillsboro, Oregon - Harvey the Rabbit I remember when the statue went up...it was a Texaco serviceman, not a muffler guy. He was complete with a Texaco Star dress military-style hat and Texaco service uniform colors.
Lots of us who didn't know Mr. Harvey at the time were surprised to see the rabbit head replace the Texaco noggin, but we made the connection between the Broadway play "Harvey" and the name of the business.
Mr. Harvey has often used the statue in constructive and civic-minded ways. [Hugh O'Donnell, 11/08/2009]
