Boerne, Texas - Muffler Man - Cowboy

Finally took the time to drive out to this one to get some pics. The business that the figure is in front of appears to be out of business. It was an auto repair center, but their lot was empty, and there was a large For Sale banner on the main building.

I'll try to contact the real estate company (number was on the For Sale sign) and see if they will tell me anything about the figure, especially if it is being sold separately (and thus maybe moving) or as part of the package deal for the shop. [TexasAndroid, 05/25/2007]

Muffler man currently in front of automobile accessories shop. His hands, held out in front of body, are used to hold the cable holding up the sign for the business. [Tony Miller, 07/04/2006]

The Boerne Muffler Cowboy Man is no longer dead! He is upright and holding a pipe of some sort. Didn't have a chance to get a picture or even any details since I just caught sight of him passing by on I-10. [Roy Holt, 12/06/2005]

Dead muffler man answering to the description of 3/30/98 sighting just outside of Boerne, TX. Chain link fence precluded closer examination but no sign of life was observed. Note upright forearms, suggestive of rigor mortis. Located within 1,000 feet of presumptive former location in front of Anderson Ford. [David L. King, 05/15/2001]

I found you another one! This time, in my native Texas: Cruising east on I-10, on my way back from visiting the ominous Stonehenge II , a 90-gallon cowboy hat appeared before my eyes. And what else should be underneath it but a cowboy Muffler Man! He stands in front of Anderson Trucks, the fit of his pants aided by a Ford belt buckle. And although his gaze is menacing, his cowboy hat is white, so he must be a good guy. [Wesley Treat, 03/30/1998]
