Take a left at the first stoplight onto Chapel St. Go about a half block, and take the first left (there may be a small white sign that says "Chapel Hill" at this turn). Go another half block, and take a right at the stone sign onto Pilgrimage Road. Go through the gates and up the hill. The Chapel is located on top of the hill.

Cold Spring, Minnesota - Grasshopper Chapel Beautiful Setting. A chapel erected to remember when Minnesota was having a grasshopper plague. The Gov. issued a state wide Day of Prayer. A freak sleet storm came and killed all the grasshoppers and their eggs. At the top of a hill, surrounded by trees, you almost feel like you are in another world. Cold Spring, Minnesota - Death to All Grasshoppers chapel This is a beautiful and peaceful place, containing a small chapel, Ways of
the Cross etc. It is up on a hill, very secluded -- you feel like you are in another world. Constructed as a thank you to God for sending a freezing rain to stop a massive grasshopper plague just as the hoppers were starting to hatch. Beautifully landscaped and maintained. [Sue Monson, 10/05/2002]
